Classic Diner

Those who read me know the fascination I have for mom and pop diners. This is one of my favorites. The treatment here from the first day I went is wonderful. It's like if I sat down to eat in the dining room of my house. And of course, the breakfasts are very good!!! I recommend it. Another hidden gem of Va beach!

Food was hot & delicious; great service as well.

Tiny place for one so if you're claustrophobic order take out. Went for breakfast and everything was great. Service was great, food was great, which is cooked right in front of you, place was clean even though it's been there forever. You can tell bc the tables have adds from vendors that don't exist anymore😅. Portions were very healthy and prices don't hurt the bank. Loved this hole in the wall and will be going back to try more!!

the smiles were non-stop, the atmosphere is super-riffic, the staff of smile-riffic “Christy”, super-riffic “Dee” and grill-masters “Paul” & “Claudia” are a standard to emulate …

I came for the “Chipped-Beef Challenge” & left with “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite everything - food, servers, customers & staff of smile-riffic pals …

the “Classic Diner” counter seating option is my favorite (where I can watch the skills of the grill-masters in action), but table & booth seating also available …

“Been There, Seen It, Done It” & will do it again …

BTW - the “Chipped-Beef” is the best I’ve eaten in Virginia Beach … quality & quantity for a FAIR smile-riffic price!

A 50s vibe, but not necessarily a facade, the Classic Diner feels down to earth and authentic. The breakfast, the Classic Hungry Man Special, is very filling and a good deal. I also recommend the sausage patty. Delicious! Servers were polite and the food did not take too long to arrive. Atmosphere was pleasant! Overall, this place would make you feel good in the morning!
