Love the service, and they're not so expensive
I love Salem Vet. For years I brought my beloved English Bulldog, Haus. Dr. Hundley took great care of him and is super friendly and great with people.
The gals inside are sweet and all obviously love animals.
When Haus developed cancer and had to be put down, they were so compassionate and Dr. Hundley even cried with me when I held him and they injected him. I’ll never forget that she cried with me during that time.
I’m not a fan of her partner, Dr. Sheffield, who is clearly not a people person and who’s bedside manner about pushing additional products at high costs and acting like if you don’t buy them you don’t love your animal. After two interactions with her I asked to never see her again.
But Dr. H and the sweet gals inside make up for it. They are now taking excellent care of my new puppy, an adorable french bulldog.
I have only had my sweet guy for about a month. On his initial visit Dr. Sheffield spent a considerable amount of time getting to know him. She reviewed all of his prior medical records and answered all of my questions (I had ALOT!). I never felt rushed and left the office knowing he was cared for here and not just another patient. Tonight I had a concern, called in and received a call back within an hour!! Any other practice you would have heard back the next day. I had been with another practice for nearly 13 years and NEVER felt the way I do about Salem Veterinary Hospital. If you consider your fur baby a family member, come here and become part of their family!
Our two dogs have been going to Salem vet since they were puppies. They are 14 years old now. We love Dr. Sheffield. She and her staff take great care of our boys. Last week was an urgent visit and they were able to get us in quickly. We have complete confidence that our boys will always get the best care at Salem Veterinary Hospital.
