Weekday visit, no wait. Tour guide was not thrilled to be doing the tour and rattle information very quickly and in a disorganized way. Still knowledgeable though. Very interesting place to visit if you love colonial history
This was my first time visiting and doing the ghost tour. What an amazing experience!! I brought my own emf meter and was getting so many spikes. The family is definitely still there.
Several years ago I worked at this historical home as a guide. I have always loved this home and the grounds. It is a place to savor and enjoy.
We came for a homeschool field trip and was not let down! Was a great experience to see what life was like for a wealthy colonist. This was like a trip back in time! My favorite thing on the tour was to see the chamber pot!
Dana gave us the tour and she was a plethora of knowledge. I loved how you could tell she loved history and loved sharing it with others. She was the best tour guide ever! So happy we came when we did!
Admission was free but there is a place at the front desk to leave a small donation if you choose. We came a bit early for a tour so we went into the museum exhibit part and learned more of the history while we waited. I am told tours are every forty five minutes.
Hope you enjoy seeing the photos we took, was such a great time!!
It was my first time visiting the Thoroughgood House today, and me and my family had a great time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, being quick to share her passion of history with us all and to answer any of our questions. The exhibit was also very impressive, with many artifacts and documents to learn about. We recommend anyone new to the area or even locals to stop by and give the place a visit!
