MISSION BBQ

From the moment you walk in this place feels like family. All the military and law enforcement memorabilia on the walls feels very patriotic. The staff are great. This veteran run/owned business is a great place for everyone. The food is fantastic and the portions too. We walked in on a very, I mean very busy day (Veteran's Day). They were giving out a free sandwich to every member of the military (active and veteran). Even though the line was all the way out the door and reached the parking lot. My husband and I waited less than 7 minutes from the time we got to the line to the time we received our sandwiches. I was very impressed. Even with it being that busy the quality of service and food did not suffer for it. We have visited this establishment many times and will return for many more wonderful plates and you can also grab a beer here 😉 Well worth the (tiny) wait you could find anytime. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Great service! First time as a Virginia Beach citizen for 14 years that I have been here and they gad some of the nicest staff I've met. They instructed me what everything was on the menu and even gave me recommendations. On top of that, the food I ordered was the absolute BOMB. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

This place has good BBQ. I visit this place every year when I come to visit family. I have tried turkey breast, ribs, pulled pork , and half chicken. I enjoyed it all throughout the years. I am torn between ribs and half chicken as favorite. They have about 6 different BBQ sauces, but i barely used it for anything besides the fries because the meat was so good.

Kind of pricey but almost always awesome! Picked up my Birthday sandwich! Thanks Mission for being so generous and for all you do for Veterans & our Service workers! You are great!

We ALWAYS enjoy our food. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. My son loves the glass bottle soda choices. The brisket is always tender and delicious. The ribs are great. Consistently good.
