We tried this beach because it looked good on Google maps. My sister's friend said they liked the beach at Sandbridge so we tried it and we were pleasantly surprised. The beach wasn't crowded and the facilities were big and nice. The lifeguards and parks people were very friendly and helpful.
I'd definitely go here again and I'll recommend it to anyone.
Nice clean beach with clean bathrooms and a nice new playground! Tons of parking and lots of beach entrances. Lots of room for social distancing. We even saw dolphins out by the pier. Not many whole shells because it's exposed to the Atlantic but a great all around beach.
Definitely worth $5 to be able to park near public restrooms and shower and walk to the most natural public beach I've ever been to. I regularly see dolphins, crabs, pelicans and all types of wildlife. There are public restrooms and showers by the public parking lots ($5 a day) at the north end and the south end (i generally go south, closer to the wildlife refuge). Street parking can be a bear during the weekend in the summer, but I generally go for the pay parking on the south end (as I mentioned: public restroom, showers, playground, picnic pavilion.
