“Halls has the best fried chicken ANYWHERE! They have a terrific deli where they make home-cooked style food and it's fresh.This place has a great small town feel. Halls is owned by one family and you will find family members working there whenever you go. The service is excellent. The produce, meat and fish are pretty good. Because it is a small town place, you won't find the kinds of gourmet foods there are in city grocery stores. But the folks here are very helpful and will do their best to help you find what you need. I started to give this 4 stars but bumped it to 5 because, if you want a city-style grocery store... go to the city.”

“As a local, we frequent Denson's often for the amazing ice cream! However, my children and I visited today for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. My daughter had the children's order of fried shrimp and fries, which she stated was the best she's ever had (which is a high compliment since that is her preferred order everywhere). My son and I both ordered burgers and fries, which were juicy and cooked just right. We love the quality, fresh food and the loving service make Denson's stand out. Keep up the amazing work, Rocky, Blaire, and staff!!! We love y'all and your restaurant!”

“This is a great little outdoor soft serve stop. They do all kinds of treats; shakes, mix-ins, sundaes, and, of course, soft serve cones in chocolate, vanilla and twist. We love coming here on a hot afternoon. You might have to wait in line on a sweltering weekend day when only an ice cream cone can beat the heat. Picnic tables with umbrellas make good shady eating spots. Mini cones for kids and dogs are $1.50. Prices go up from there.”

The owners are a mother-daughter team and they are both super helpful. Both women are very familiar with the town and can give you guidance about where to go to have a great day at the beach.”

“Rankin's has great people working there and they tend to be very knowledgeable. Occasionally someone at the counter won't know where something is but somebody working there can help. Rankin's has a pretty substantial stock of hardware and boating tools. The prices tend to be on the high side for some items. But they do have good sales. They also carry a lot of seasonal items so when you need Christmas lights, they can help. Not as much variety as a big box store but the hardware is high quality.”
