I have been a client of Dolce Vita since 2010 and have always had an amazing experience. They are relevant with styling trends and respectful of my schedule when I make appointments .

After searching for many years for a decent hair stylist someone led me to Billie Jo, the salon owner. They told me this is THE place to go locally for hair care. And, they were absolutely right. I have been going to Dolce Vita for many years. It is one of my "happy places." Billie Jo is remarkably talented. I can show up and say "Do whatever you think will make me look great." and she does. I've learned over the years when you find a professional that you trust, don't micromanage them. The salon is clean, friendly, offers a variety of products that they sell (but don't push you to buy.) I would never go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

I’ve recently moved from Alabama to the Newport News area. I noticed Dolce Vita Salon on my way to work, and thought I’d give them a try. I had a consultation for a haircut and color, then the service a week later. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the service. The color line they use is gentle on my hair and has very little odor. The haircut lasted about six weeks and kept its shape.
Today was my second appointment for the same services with a different stylist, and the experience was good. The only thing I would suggest to the staff there is to learn about how to handle curly hair (cutting and styling). Personally I have learned a lot about how to work with my naturally curly hair via “curly girl method “ techniques and products. I feel that those of us with curly hair would absolutely LOVE going to a stylist that addresses our unique needs.
