“Very pretty and kept nicely. Parents if you go with kids under 2, TAKE AN ERGO/carrier. Strollers are not allowed in the house. The house is a must see. So pretty and kept up. Cost of admission was very reasonable and gave you access to the grounds. Short walk from Pohick Regional Park. Note, no “food” around like Mt.Vernon, so pack snacks for the kids and yourself. The grounds are beautiful and big. A must see in Virginia and away from the traditional colonial visits. No long wait like Mt.Vernon.”

The staff is always so very helpful and kind/patient and willing to even go the extra mile to help me in the past with overdue late fees. Also, it's the ideal atmosphere with overhead glass roofing and windows all over so that you're able to sit and look out directly into nature. Such a great place!”

“Went in to get a library card and the staff was so nice and informative. I love libraries and this one seemed to have plenty of books for kids and from I was told, if they didn't have the book in that location it could be transferred from another PWC library, which is a great service. You can borrow books, e-readers, movies, etc which is really nice. I am particularly fond of the idea that I can use the card to borrow ebooks to read on my Kindle! Just go in, get a card and log in via a partner app to borrow books! I believe you can borrow for up to 3 weeks and request to extend if no one is waiting for it. Pretty awesome if you're an avid reader. :)”

“Wonderful Library! It is a small library but it has a lovely selection of science fiction books. The librarians are friendly and it has lots of fun activities for kids. They also have an entire section of comic books and manga if that's your thing.”

“Honestly, I think Pohick was more inviting before the renovations. Being closed for over a year was very inconvenient to me, and I was underwhelmed with the changes. The layout of the parking is not practical and made a lot more sense before the changes. However, I have been going to this library for my whole life and have never had issues with service or availability of books. The staff has always helpful in finding books and working with making a new library card and working with the printers and computers.”
