Cascade West Development

This is the second home we’ve had built by Cascade West Development (CWD). Our Project Manager was Ken Viola and we worked with Jason on the design for both homes.

The quality of our home is impeccable and the attention to detail has been second to none. Naturally there are many things at the final walk through that requires additional attention, but for us, all issues were resolved over time though their quality manager Kristen G.

Before, during and after the build process, CWD provided us continuous updates in reference to our initial budget to avoid any financial surprises at the end. Subsequently, the completion of our home came in under budget.

Our project manager Ken met often with us to share his thoughts and ideas on design improvements during the construction process. Leveraging his years of experience Ken was able to provide cost effective solutions to both simple and complex problems. A few examples are: 1) upgrading the power requirements for our predominantly all electric home, 2) using a stamped, waterproof, concrete deck instead of composite decking materials, 3) the 4-4-7 siding pattern added a noticeable unique front elevation style to our home and 4) insulating our garage and plumbing it for heat for the future. These were just a few of the great ideas that we took advantage of thanks to Ken’s advice and experience.

The value of our custom home continues to grow and without a doubt our neighbors and community as a whole, appreciate CWD’s quality construction and professionalism and cleanliness of their subcontractors.

We have had our one year home warranty service review. Kristen the warranty department director has been absolutely amazing to deal with. All of our requests have been addressed and rectified in such a timely manner. We couldn't be more pleased with how everything was handled. Kristen is so professional knowledgeable and a great communicator. Another great reason to work Cascade West. They are there after a year, just as they were while we were building our house with quality and care.

And another great shout out to Serge our project manager who has been checking in on us, asking if we are happy and if there is anything we need.

It all started with a parcel of land that nobody wanted to buy but Ron at Cascade West had the vision and we trusted him and thank god we did because, after completing the design process with Ron and beginning the build process with Serge, we ended up with a home on a rare 5ac parcel in Camas city limits with an epic view of the Columbia River gorge.

Aside from the finished product, the process of working with Cascade West was straight forward and all the details were taken care of. Since we built the home remotely (we literally only came to down a handful of times) we needed someone we could 100% trust to represent us throughout the entire process and Serge delivered. Even after moving in, he continues to be our partner in ensuring every tiny detail is resolved.

We are so grateful for Cascade West, especially Ron and Serge, and we'd chose them to do it all over again (but right I'm so ready to have a house that I don't want to think about building another one).

In our first meeting with Cascade West, Jason carefully listened carefully to our ideas, budget, and requirements and helped us pick a plan that met all our requirements. He connected us with a banker and an architect where we finalized the financing and the plan. Everyone in their back office is professional, courteous, and responsive whenever we had any questions.

Serge Sirotkin, the project manager, worked with us during the entire build process and provided regular updates on the progress. He had to make several on-site adjustments which he handled without breaking the budget. When we asked for any modifications, Serge provided options that matched our ideas and budget. He ensured that all trades people were performing quality work throughout the whole build process. Any concerns or adjustments we asked for were addressed promptly and professionally. His friendly and approachable demeanor made it easy to collaborate and fostered a sense of trust and partnership. He genuinely cares about his clients' satisfaction and takes great pride in delivering an exceptional result.

This was our first time going through the custom home building process and we were very pleased with the process and absolutely love our new home! We expected the process to be a bit stressful and overwhelming but it was fun and really enjoyable.
We came to the table with an idea of what we wanted. Working with Jason was very fun and easy and he was able to help put our thoughts and visions on paper and made great recommendations along the way. Cascade West made the design and selection process really smooth and most of the companies we partnered with to bring our vision to life were fun and super helpful to work with.
We also really enjoyed working with our Project Manager, Caleb. He was definitely our advocate and always worked really hard to have our best interest and design in mind. He was also very budget conscious, helping us stay on track and pushing back when things weren’t done right the first time. He was open to hearing all of our new ideas and questions along the way and kept us informed about the timeline and what was coming next. We knew he was really busy with other projects but he was always very present and focused on our project when he was there.
From the time we signed paperwork to the day we received the keys was about exactly one year. The budget process was fairly straightforward and clear. Definitely recommend Cascade West!
