Incredibly nice people. Dedicated to the community. Thank you for your help transferring my mother's ashes to a new container.

I have to say that my experience here with John was absolutely amazing! The pricing was shockingly inexpensive as well. I was expecting to pay four times what I paid for cremation. Here's my story. My father, 81yrs old, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, one day before his 82nd birthday, the Wednesday after Christmas. Literally just three weeks ago. He seemed in perfect health, stacked firewood with me two weeks earlier, was looking for a part time job because he was bored. Christmas morning (Saturday) I received a call from my mother that he wasn't feeling well, when I arrived at their home, I realized it was serious and had him taken to the emergency room. By Wednesday he passed from a cancerous brain tumor that he showed no symptoms of having and we were completely unaware of him having, which in hindsight was a good thing. My wife did some online research and found Cascadia and I spoke to John and set an appointment by phone. The initial phone call with John was very informative and he was very understanding, I was shocked at how inexpensive it was, but I was still expecting the sales pitch and upselling when I walked in for the physical appointment to authorize the cremation. I was warned by a lot of people the day after my father's passing, that funeral places will try to upsell and work you over for as much as possible, and heard some true horror stories, one from my own brother in law. I went in to meet with John expecting the worse and ready for some serious negotiations, and the potential of just walking out if it became too much of a "sales pitch" or an upsell. I wasn't in any mood for games. John quickly put all the apprehension to rest as he simply went through the base economy package that we had discussed on the phone. We shared a few personal stories and he was truly genuine. He explained how everything worked and how to deal with death certificates and who I will need to send them to, etc. Not one time during the entire visit did he try to upsell me. He seemed more like a friend. He had a few items on his desk and some nice things that were available and I asked about them but he never even presented them to me before I asked. I had moved here from the east coast in 2007 and I moved my parents here a couple of years ago. Our family has a personal family cemetery in West Virginia and John even explained the process of flying back with ashes, what to expect, the rules of traveling with ashes, and provided the certificate to fly, all included in the package. My father was done when John told me he would be done and all the paperwork was there and prepared for me when I arrived to pick up my father's ashes. I can't thank you enough John for making this process an unexpectedly easy one, with no upselling, true compassion, and a genuine understanding of what we were going through. I obviously highly recommend Cascadia and especially John.

Wonderful, professional and kind. Good office and lots of information and help for cremation planning. We were treated with respect and we both are using Cascadia for after death planning.

John made this difficult time for us very easy to deal with. He was compassionate, caring and very transparent during the process. There was never any up sell at all and the best pricing around. Price aside.....im glad John was there for us. He is a very nice man and we thank him so much.

Fantastic experience. Jim and John are caring, professional and very reasonably priced. Some very good friends of mine recently used them and they were extremely nice and understanding. I am in the funeral profession in another state, so I know what I am talking about when I say they are the best. I highly recommend them.
