I have lived in the PDX area for almost 5 years and just found this hidden treasure. When I thought it couldn’t get any better nature kept surprised me. Great well kept community park with large space, a dog park, sports fields and plenty of restrooms. Hidden nature close to the city skyline.
Best trail in Vancouver! Great trail with a lot of good scenery and nature. We javelin seen beavers, owls, snakes, deer, turtles, eagles, and more.
Very nice park. Not free, either pay a day fee or have a Clark County park pass. Paved pet friendly trail, next to Salmon Creek, we only walked it fo a mile, but it went on. Plenty of parking, side unpaved trails down to the creek. Fair sized lake with a trail that goes partly around, but this trail prohibits pets. Definitely worth a visit.
My family and I go here a lot just to get out and watch the ducks on the water or for an easy hike. Its a nice winding trail that is in pretty good shape. There is some elevation change and in spots feels pretty secluded from the houses that are around It can get busy with a lot a variety of people biking, running, walking their dogs which makes it not the most peaceful at times. However, if you catch it when there isn't a crowd it can be pretty special. It ties into Klineline park which is fun during the summer to play in the splash park. Overall it is a fun place to go and I would say is pretty safe due to how busy it is year around.
