Great rods, great company! Just make sure you file your claim within the warranty limit of your rod, and keep your receipts! If the damage is your fault expect to pay out of pocket, but that's totally acceptable! If we got everything for free, we would no longer have a place to buy from! All in all, I was very happy with the customer service, and even happier with my rods.
I had a 5 + year trout rod break (my fault) and contacted Lamiglas to see if I could purchase the top half of rod as replacement. The Lamiglas customer service person helped me on both phone and email as she (Kai) placed order and shipped me (reasonable cost) the replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement was for the new model and the old model wouldn't work. So, she asked me to ship back my lower rod and the just received replacement back and then she'd send a complete new replacement rod - both pieces back to me for the same price! Turn around was fast and Kai was both professional and communicative at all steps. I'm happy with this experience and recommend Lamiglas overall as I also have Lamiglas surf rod, Kokanee trout trolling rod, and a steelhead drift rod, and they are all well made.
I got my first Lamiglas rod almost 20 years ago, and I am still fishing it today. I recently expanded my collection of Lamiglas rods by a few. I messed up on the river and snapped a very nice, brand new rod. Lamiglas put it under warranty and shipped out a brand new one with no hassle the same day. I was back on the river within 24 hours of breaking my rod.. that is impressive service. My whole family fishes with Lamiglas and I don’t see that ever changing. Bonus that it’s a NW company as I’m from Oregon. I’ve seen some bad reviews of them.. I don’t get it. I do buy their Infinity and SI lines that are all hand finished in Washington.. they do offer an imported entry level line, and I’m guessing that is what people are having issues with. Everything I get from them is gold. Get one and fish it🤟
Update: Lamiglas contacted me after seeing this review and immediately sent replacement. Was told their customer service department has gone through a lot of change recently.
Original Review: Went fishing in Alaska with a well known guide. Pole broke while fighting Salmon. Guide stated that he’d never seen a rod break that easily while fighting a fish. Was advised to contact Lamiglas for warranty support. Submitted and have sent multiple follow up emails and attempted phone calls. Have yet to receive a response via email or a return phone call after multiple voicemails being left. Appears to be exceedingly poor customer service, loyalty, and pride in product. Would highly advise caution in trusting this company and their warranty commitment.
