Very pleased to highly recommend Dr. Brooke Lindsley as a
physical therapist. My wife had a stroke earlier this year and Brooke helped us transition to home care. She is knowledgeable, highly motivational, and inspires our team. She is highly regarded and now a good friend. We achieve successes at each session.

Brooke is an excellent physical therapist and I highly recommend her. I saw her when I was experiencing prolonged post-concussion symptoms that made it difficult to get back to my recreational activities (mountain biking, surfing, skiing, etc). She is very knowledgeable about concussions and is up to date on the latest research regarding concussion management. She is an attentive listener and is thorough in her assessment. She quickly came up with a targeted plan to improve my symptoms and gave me the confidence that I would return back to my “normal” self. I really appreciated that she explained why I was having certain symptoms and how each exercise on my home program would help. After a few weeks I can happily say that I am symptom free and back to all my activities without limitation. My only regret is not seeing her sooner! Cannot recommend her enough.

Ten years ago, I started having bizarre symptoms of dizziness, brain fog, and difficulty walking. I sought help from a wide spectrum of medical professionals to no avail. Last spring, I heard about Dr.Lindsley and quickly made an appointment. I liked her immediately. She is warm, personable, and an easy conversationalist. Fully engaged, she leaned into my background story, and put my perspectives, rather than my symptoms or diagnosis, at the center of our conversation. I felt totally listened to.
After an evaluation in her gym, I asked Brooke about my prognosis. “Oh, you’ll get back to normal,” she said, “probably within four to six months.” That was a emotional moment for me given my decade long therapeutic dead ends and disappointments. On the way home I told my wife we had finally found someone who could help me.
With Brooke’s guidance, encouragement, innovative treatment plans, and, most importantly, her belief that I could do “the work”, I am learning to stop accommodating my symptoms by avoiding any situation that is likely to trigger them. Instead, I use her practical strategies, desensitization exercises, and “tease, touch, nudge” approach to increase my tolerance. I am much clearer headed now, have fewer bouts of dizziness and imbalance, am much more energetic, and walk well (with jogging and hiking on the not too distant horizon). I read, watch movies, and play “nerf” soccer and baseball with my grandchildren without the fear of dizziness. In short, I am well on the road to getting my old life back.
My time with Brooke has been life changing and life affirming. Her breadth and depth of all things vestibular, in addition to her unparalleled expertise and innate instinctive knowing, give her unusual neurological wisdom.
In my family Brooke is known as The Miracle Worker.

Based upon my recent experiences with numerous physical therapists (PT), Brooke Lindsley is an excellent PT.

First of all she is extremely knowledgeable about the latest evidence-based research, especially as regards balance and dizziness (proprioception, ataxia, etc.). Therefore, I feel I am getting "best practice," not just some standard, routine therapy that has now been superseded by new research.

Secondly, she strikes an excellent balance between getting on with having me trying to do the actual things needed tor improve, i.e., stretching me, yet also being extremely careful regarding safety.

Also, she is very practical and adaptive, continually adjusting the course of therapy to my own particular situation and needs, modifying the program to what is currently happening.

Most importantly, she had a very pleasant and personable manner and therefore is a pleasure to actually do the PT with her.

She is very organized and communicates very efficiently and effectively regarding appointments, billing, etc.

In summary, I highly recommend Brooke Lindsley for PT needs, especially regarding issues such as balance and dizziness.

Brooke is an amazing person and practitioner and I would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends, family, and patients. As a physical therapist myself, though I specialize in orthopedics and sports, I recognize that Brooke is unique and skilled in our field. She has a deep knowledge of vestibular, balance, and concussion disorders and is great at tailoring her treatments in fun, interactive ways for her clients. Whidbey is lucky to have her, I just wish she also had a location in Seattle!
