Had a great, relaxing experience. Rita & Carl were great hosts, as well as their sweet pup Merlot. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the location was super convenient (close to downtown Langley), and the wine was sooooo good. We even bought some bottles to take home.
Will definitely go back sometime!
Carl and Rita have created a wonderful and scenic environment for us and their guests. During our stay, we were greeted at every point of our day with hospitality and generosity. Every morning Rita provides a delicious breakfast that is not too heavy but not too light. Furthermore, her breakfast meals are properly portioned and balanced for those with dietary preferences. Their wines are also delicious, especially their reds. The location itself is close to Langley, a 10 minute drive.
The room we stayed in had a wonderful view of the water on the lower level of the inn. There are additional rooms on the upper levels of the inn, although views of the outside will vary so please call ahead. There is a fridge located in the upper levels along with snacks and a coffee machine.
Overall my partner and I enjoyed ourselves at Comforts of Whidbey and will visit again, hopefully sooner than later.
We started our week long vacation to the Pacific NW with 2 nights at the Comforts of Whidbey. It was a perfect transition into ‘vacation mode’. The B & B is located on a large parcel of land overlooking the water. The winery is located under the B & B and tasting room. The rooms are large, with a VERY comfortable king-size bed. We splurged a bit for the water-facing rooms, which was worth it, as the room also had two comfy chairs overlooking the water. There is a small, shared kitchen with a fridge and coffee maker. Breakfast is included and is amazing - oatmeal, sausage or ham, dressed up scrambled eggs, homemade bread, breakfast bar, and small salad. Everything was super fresh and yummy. And then there are the wines. We did a wine tasting and cheese plate (an option when you reserve your room), and found a new white we liked. The winery/tasting room has live music on Sunday afternoons. Overall a lovely stay - would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful visit and stay with the Comforts. It was nicely appointed, quiet and restful. The breakfasts were fabulous and we enjoyed the view from the deck while sipping wine as well. It was close enough to Langley and a great find. We are looking forward to return visits and have already recommended to friends and family.
My wife and I booked a last minute one night stay at Comforts of Whidbey. Rita, the owner, was very responsive to my phone calls and super helpful making sure we were all set. We arrived to a chilled cheese platter with a flight of wine, and relaxed on an expansive porch with a view of the sound. Our room also had nice view, and the amenities were excellent. We enjoyed all the wines we tried. Definitely there is an option for everyone.
In the hallway of the rooms upstairs was a small coffee bar with fridge. Bottles of wine were available to guests on an honor system (enjoy as desired, pay upon departure).
In the morning, the breakfast (cooked by Rita) featured farm fresh eggs garnished with herbs from her garden, break baked on site, fresh fruit, granola with a very nice yogurt, a healthy portion of sliced ham, orange juice (mimosa if desired) and coffee.
Honestly, it was simply a very nice relaxing evening, night, and morning. The BnB is quite close to the town of Langley, and dinner options are plenty. Comforts of Whidbey is a top choice from us now.
