This childcare center is a gem in the area. I have had both of my sons attend this center since they were infants, and I am very happy with the quality of care they receive. The teachers and management are absolutely incredible. They treat my son with so much love, caring, and patience that I feel confident leaving him in their hands. My younger son is now 11 months old, and he always smiles when he sees his teachers. He loves going to class and learning new things. He is always clean, comfortable, and calm when I pick him up. The owner is very dedicated and puts the well-being of the children before anything else. This is very rare and admirable. If you are looking for a childcare center that will nurture your baby and make you feel at ease, look no further and call them. You will not regret it.
Sundance was our kiddo's first daycare after we finished parental leave. He started in the 12-18 month classroom with Becca and Joss, and is now in the 18-24 month classroom with Miss Vicky and Mr. Ethan. Throughout the 7 months he's been at Sundance, we've been so impressed with the center in general as well as his care. In both classrooms, his teachers were kind, attentive, patient, communicative, and flexible with our many questions and needs as first-time parents. We had a few very specific needs (mostly feeding-related, something we were in OT therapy for) and they were incredibly supportive. We'd discussed these same needs with some of the larger centers and were told they couldn't accommodate. We really appreciate that Sundance puts the best interest of the child above standard policies and procedures.
We toured a lot of daycares during our search, and while Sundance wasn't the newest and didn't offer meals, the teachers take a lot of pride in their curriculum and most importantly, everyone at Sundance treated us like family. (And FWIW, I did eventually see personal meal prep as a benefit as we could control what he was eating and provide him with familiar foods.) I genuinely feel as if they care about our kiddo and for our family. We feel like our toddler really flourished while at Sundance and are genuinely sad for our time there to end as we move him to a center closer to our home.
My daughter has been attending Sundance since Oct 2021 and I can’t say enough good things about the school. Sundance has been a terrific Daycare for and school our daughter. She started at five months in the infant room and right away we could tell how much she loved going to school. The infant teachers are very caring and provide great care, even in a very hectic environment with multiple babies. Our daughter is now in a toddler room and we love to see her skills developing and the curriculum every week. Sundance is smaller than some of the franchise daycares and we appreciate the family feel saying hello to all the teachers and admin staff. Sundance has done a great job navigating and communicating changes in teachers, classes, COVID, etc. and we are happy to be a Sundance family!
We love our family of teachers at Sundance. My kids started in the infant room and we are sadly graduating this year. The teachers have so much love and patience for the children in their care. They also partner with local small business owners to bring extracurriculars onsite! Makes it so easy for parents and really builds upon the community feel. While they are not Montessori or bilingual or have the fanciest facilities, honestly I think they do a wonderful job raising my kids to be independent, helpful, and respectful - and most of all - ready for kindergarten!
Sundance Preschool South is an exceptional childcare/early learning environment for students and families here in downtown Bellevue, WA. Our older son, attended Sundance for Pre-K, Kindergarten and now will also attend for Summer Camp. Our other son, has participated in the Pre-Two’s class, Pre-Three’s class and will attend Pre-K next fall. We chose this school based on extensive research and a personal referrals from both neighbors (Surrey Downs, Enatai) and Co-workers (whose son attended Sundance 20+ years ago – a testament to the long-standing strength of the school and it’s leadership). The skill/care/compassion of Sundance’s’ leadership team (owner, Amanda), and Anna Lopez (Lead Teacher/Site Manager) is unmatched. We previously had our Sons at Bright Horizon Summit for many years. We chose Sundance (and continue to choose Sundance) because of the caring, safe and happy environment the leadership team and teaching staff provide for our children each day. There is strong continuity among the teaching staff (low turnover from our experience). Teacher’s take pride in the curriculum and class environment they create. Teachers provide helpful communication (via app photos/newsletters) to parents so you know how your child is doing. We have built a strong family network of friends from the Sundance community. During COVID, the school was only briefly shut (about a month) during the initial days of COVID in 2020. Amanda, Anna and team found a way to safely re-open and keep our children in school during the pandemic. Sundance provides an outstanding experience for young children as they grow and develop (all stages, from walking, to potty-training, to learning basic social emotional skills and learning to read/write). We are so thankful for our Sundance Early Learning school community.
