The process of moving my father to an adult family home from a large nursing facility in the time of COVID19 was challenging. Tibi figuratively held my hand through the entire process, explaining every step, educating me, answering numerous questions and phone calls. After providing Tibi with the needs of my father and my requirements, I was provided with 6 places meeting those conditions to tour. After narrowing it to 2 homes, he again helped by talking over the pros and cons. I checked references and made a choice which I am very happy with. Tibi at A1 Senior Care is an amazing resource. My mom with moderate dementia had fairly recently moved into a large local assisted living facility. She wasn't adjusting well, and was having all sorts of behavior issues. After the facility indicated that in order to stay, she'd need 16-hour a day 1:1 private care on top of their fees, I had to find alternate living arrangements quickly. I knew mom was difficult, and was very nervous about picking somewhere else for fear that it also wouldn't work out and we'd be back to square one again within another month, so I decided to find some help and contacted A1 Senior Care. After consulting with Tibi, he educated me on adult family homes, where the caregiver to staff ratio is much greater, and more suited to the level of attention my mom was needing. Tibi was able assess mom, and quickly found me a list of adult family homes near my home with vacancies that were equipped to deal with the types of challenging dementia behaviors my mom was exhibiting. After touring each of them, he was a great sounding board to talk through my perspectives on the plusses and minuses of each. I was stressed, but he remained confident and encouraging throughout the whole process, and in the end, within a week from start to finish, we found a great home for my mom.
