Been training Muay Thai with Seiei for 6 months now and I love it ! Fun/Friendly environment for all levels and the weight lifting section is a convenient addition. Would recommend to anyone !
I've been doing the adult Muay Thai/MMA class at Seiei for the last year and it's a really friendly and welcoming community! The dojo really cares about the quality of instruction and making sure the members not only get a good workout, but actually learn fight skills. I've trained at other gyms but felt like my skills have really improved at Seiei. First class is free so give it a try!
Best decision I've made this year was to sign up my boy for seiei dojo's program!
My boy Luke is 5 year old and he is in the peewee program right now.
My friend recommend this place, and her two daughters have learnd judo in this dojo for several years.
At first I just want something to burn off my boy's energy. But to my surprise, I found out he gradually became more confident and outgoing during this Judo class.
Sensei Tomoko is really kind and patient to every kid, luke really likes her and all the kids love her.
And I will send my second boy to the class as soon as he turn three years old~
Seiei is a wonderful place to start learning Judo. I'd never taken part in any martial arts program (save a month 13 years ago) and so jumping into Judo for the first time as an adult was a little scary. Rest assured! Seiei is a wonderful dojo with a great atmosphere. It's pure martial arts education. Everyone is there to teach or learn, and both the Sensei and the students bring positivity to the mat. Would recommend anyone in the area to at least try it out. There's really no downside.
A true gem of the Pacific Northwest that is a fantastic dojo for all skill levels. Whether you are interested in recreational judo just to learn the art or in high level competition, Seiei has something to offer. The instructors are great. The attitude is friendly and family oriented, and the participants range from kids just there to learn and have fun to national level competitors.
Beyond the people, the facility itself is excellent. The mats are on a sprung floor that increases the level of safety and reduces long term impact especially for older adults. If you’ve ever trained on mats places straight on foundation versus mats on a raised, sprung floor you’d immediately know the difference. The mat space itself is huge which give a lot of room to move and makes it safer to train.
I highly recommend Seiei to anyone.
