Bothell Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery

The office staff was very friendly and helpful. However, my surgery was scheduled several months out from my consult visit wirh the surgeon, and the communication was extremely poor during that time. I had to contact them to ask when the surgery was scheduled for, and again to ask about presurgery prep/procedure questions when I hadn't heard anything from them with surgery only 2 weeks away. Whenever I contacted them, they were great, but I would like to not have been left in the dark and forced to seek out answers to "What is going on???" Also, when checking in for required COVID test 2 business days before surgery, they were surprised I hadn't yet been prescribed the needed meds... sadly, it didn't surprise me.

My original consultation was indicative of my experience overall as it was professional and complete in a personal manner. It was obvious that I was considered a healthcare patient rather than a customer. The quality of care before, during and after the procedure was of the highest in my long experience. I am beyond pleased and very grateful.

Although the practice was a little farther than home than I had hoped, my local dentist at Alderwood Dentistry recommended the Bothell group highly for an opinion about a suspicious plaque on the side of my tongue.
I scheduled an appointment there for an exam and met Dr. Brian Rubens. He was very kind and made me feel very comfortable. A biopsy was scheduled. The surgery scheduler let me know that they were out of network for my insurance and gave me an estimate of the cost. I was more than happy to pay out of pocket once I had met Dr. Rubens.
The biopsy was yesterday. Before he began, his assistant went over postop care and answered all my questions. Dr. Rubens was running a little bit late but I didn’t mind because he spent more time talking with me than any medical professional I have had in years. He asked me a lot of non-medical personal questions and joked a lot putting me entirely at ease.
During the procedure he was careful and thorough. He explained that I would probably have considerable discomfort afterwards, but I felt no pain during the biopsy. It might be because he is a board certified anesthesiologist in addition to his oral surgery credentials.
I highly recommend the practice and Dr.Rubens to anyone undergoing oral surgery.

I've gone there once for a consultation, and then to get a pre-procedure covid test, and then I had my procedure recently. Every single time the experience was as best as you could hope for. Everyone is friendly and knows what they are doing. Dr. Steen explains everything clearly and blends in humor just to keep everything more relaxed, and what is there to say, it just seems like a very well-run office.

Dr. Peysakhov was my daughter's oral surgeon for her wisdom teeth extraction. He called me personally after the surgery when she was waking up to let me know how everything went. The surgical sites looked great. The consultation before the surgery was informative and reassuring as well. The nurse answered a lot of our last minute questions post-op and was very friendly. The office assistants are amazing, too: professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend this practice!
