Cherry Creek Falls Trailhead offers a pleasant hiking experience with an easy to moderate level of difficulty and a decent elevation. The trail is entirely covered with trees, providing ample shade and making it a great choice for those who prefer a hike without direct sunlight. Keep in mind that there is no parking available at the trailhead, so you must park your car on the roadside.
To make the most of your hike, it's advisable to start early, preferably before 9 AM. Our journey to the falls took approximately 1 hour and 6 minutes one way. The falls itself was a delightful sight, and I recommend bringing water and snacks to enjoy when you reach the destination. Overall, Cherry Creek Falls Trailhead is a worthwhile experience for nature lovers and hikers seeking a serene and scenic trek.
This is a great trail, with a small waterfall at the end of the trail. The trail is approximately 2.5 miles each direction, so be prepared for a 5 mile hike round-trip. Is great for kids, they can play in the waterfall, before the return hike; be advised some parts of the waterfall are deep. The is mostly shaded, there is a slight bit of climbing on the trail, approximately 300 feet of climbing each direction, but there's lotta downhill on the trail too. This is a great place to spend the day.
Easy to moderate trail for hiking. Kids friendly and it takes about 1 and half hour with kids one way. Less water at the falls in summer but good spot to spend about 30 to 60 mins. The path narrows as we reach near the water falls. Parking gets full quickly. There's no parking area , need to park cars besides the road.
Definitely take the advice from the other reviews! Go early in the day to find parking and beat the crowd. I was able to go fairly early on a weekday, and by the time I got back to my car, the road was packed with cars, and it was only 11! Totally worth it though.
Such an easy hike and a beautiful view at the end.
Definitely be mindful of what trails you’re taking, it’s super easy to get lost, especially on the way back from the falls!
A well maintained trail with lots of shade. Kid & pet friendly. You need to park on the road side and the spots are pretty limited so start before 9AM. The hike is easy both in and out. Was able to complete it in an hour and a half. Good spot for picnicking once you reach the falls. Zero network after almost a mile into the trail. There was a car in between the trees on the trail which looked like it landed from the sky. I got very curious to know how it ended up there and looked up on google but found no answer :(
