Tom is an excellent teacher. My oldest daughter took flute during 5th grade band and we began lessons with Tom over the summer. She has made more progress and been more motivated than she was for the entire previous year. Tom has high expectations but brings out a drive to practice and improve.
My younger daughter has just begun learning piano with him and he builds her confidence while challenging her to improve.
I'm thrilled with the results, both musical improvement as well as improved motivation.

In the recorder group, I learned how to read music, play music with other musicians, keep time, and play different parts in the music pieces. In my guitar lessons, I learned how to play basic chords and how to play music in different keys. These lessons led me eventually to becoming a ukulele player, performer, and singer.
