No doubt about it!.....The heavy vigorous labor of using my hands day in and day out put a new lease on my life in a way.....It kicked procrastination behind me and put serious demands on my time and continual attention, and the best of all living generations from preschool to Age 111 were my daily portion. I am thankful for my service years as an employee of the catholic care and deliverance I found there to learn the hard lessons of life and make my stand for who I want to be. The sun really is promised everyday....and we young people have to honor and thank our elders every day for getting us this far in life. I approve of my blue collar 5 day a week uniform hospitality service years.
I would like to say thank you to all of the staff at this place for taking great care of my mom while she was there the last four days.
She was at good Samaritan for a week and you guys welcomed her to your center while others did not due to her going through cancer.
I was very hesitant on sending her to this place due to some of the negative reviews.
But it was very convenient for us due to its location.
The staff did a wonderful job and being very attentive and friendly to my mom. They did a wonderful job at making sure she got physical therapy every day.
The place is pretty quiet considering how many patients they have there. All of the nurses, caretakers and social worker would always say hi and they always got a smile on the face.
Social worker lady which I don’t recall her name was very pleasant and friendly to deal with and she helped my mom get discharged upon our request when we felt she was recovered. We made sure my mom was pretty independent before we wanted her to leave but she was great on expediting the process.
The physical therapy did wonders for my mom and she recovered way faster than we ever thought.
I thought she would be here for weeks but she was ready to go after four days.
Thank goodness she was only there for 3 days but it was a wonderful experience as I was here every day for a many hours at a time.
I got a chance to observe how the nurses and caretakers take care of other patients as well as my mom.
I was very impressed and feel that anybody who stays at this place is in a great spot when they’re older or re-habilitating. You always hear horror stories of older people being mis treated in these type of facilities.
They also asked my mom upon discharge how everyone treated her and if she felt she was abused in anyway. They also asked her if she observed any abuse as well. This was so refreshing and wonderful to know that they follow up with each patient to make sure that no one is mis treating them.
It goes a long ways in my book and I would even feel safe myself as an older person staying in this place long-term. I’m only 46 years old so I got a long ways to go. But it’s great to know that there are a lot of places out there that treat patients with dignity and respect still.
Providence Marionwood is one of those places.
Thank you so much for taking good care of my mom
