The week before Christmas, my mother's home suddenly lost power to its furnace and water heater. I called DEAR and they were happy to come out to the place immediately to check it out. The worker assigned to the repair, William, was very concerned about the situation and about my mother being left without power for potentially days. The problem was that the power meter was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced; and I very grateful for his initial inspection as there was a major fire hazard in play; the box was literally sizzling with heat as the rain landed on it.
DEAR put in a request to Tacoma Utilities for a emergency request, and while they didn't get around to approving it, an normal appointment was setup for a disconnect about a week later. During that wait time, William came out to the house and did what I could to provide limited power safely, enough for my mother to get by until the appointment date.
On the disconnect date, William worked diligently to make sure it was taken care of in his time crunch. Things worked out well and I'm happy with the service DEAR and William provided. DEAR also provided financing options to me to take care of the bill that I am comfortable with. The price of the repair seems high, but that may just be the nature of this type of problem. I am happy to just have the problem fixed in a reasonable timeframe.
Jesse came out for our biannual inspection of our AC unit and furnace. Not only did he make some adjustments to make the efficiency of heat use better, he also inspected the crawl space for an estimate of replacing our duct work. We anticipate doing that after the holiday, and will always request Jesse when it comes to DEAR Services. He’s an amazing and knowledgeable person who made our experience one that will keep us with DEAR Services for a lifetime. Thank you again Jesse, we slept nice and warm last night because of your exceptional work. Happy holidays!
Chase and Josh did our annual Fall heating season check up through Total Care Club.
The techs are always courteous and thorough and today was no exception. I appreciate this company’s commitment to quality work and well trained staff. They check out EVERYTHING!We will see them again in the Spring for cooling season checkup!
