Burton Community Church

This is a charming experience. The service is very authentic and warm with very little scripting. They have the new revised standard edition of the Bible. The congregation is small. There were 11 people including myself. The average age may be around 70. The messages are given by different guests, mostly retired ministers, each Sunday except the first Sunday which is given by their regular minister. They have a welcoming coffee hour after service. The worship is accompanied by a grand piano and they have a lovely 6 person choir that sings songs slightly outside of the traditional hymns. The hymns sung by the congregation are out of a traditional hymnal. A bulletin is provided to follow along.

Picturesque place for island weddings. It's very small and has a quant, old-world church feel.
