My husband and I have spent several weekends at Auberge taking in one of the cooking classes each time. Each time has been enjoyable. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. I would recommend partaking of the terrific breakfast Nancy delivers to your door. The cooking lessons are hands on. Bring a bottle of wine to share with the group as you cook and then sit down to enjoy the bounty. Nancy is a great host.

My mother and I went out for a class. Our only mistake was not staying over. I recommend staying at least 1 night and soaking up the vacation atmosphere.
The instructor was so encouraging. The surroundings were very laid back cottage on some wooded property. The interior although active with cuisine and wine was still relaxing. We had a great time and the food was delicious!
We have been to the inn twice - the first time we stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time - the setting is lovely (even in January!), the room is full of amenities, the breakfast was delicious, and the cooking school was a lot of fun.
This second time, we invited my sister and her husband to come over from Idaho to participate in the cooking school. The chef was very hands on, sharing tips and tricks. The meal we prepared was delicious. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.
My daughter and I attended a French cooking class from the Breakfast / Brunch Series: Sept. 9, 2012
Shirred Eggs
Peaches Cardinal
Poached peaches or pears with pureed raspberries, whipped cream and toasted almonds
It was very "hands-on", with expert guidance and very "usable" recipes. The results were served to the class members by staff following the lesson.
Both of us have repeated all three recipes in our own kitchens. The "shirred eggs" have become a favorite in our home, and is prepared regularly - never the same way twice! Such a fun and forgiving recipe - perfect for experimenting with whatever is in the garden and frig!
Overall an excellent experience!
