Short story: do your homework.

I met with Molly at my house here in Poulsbo. I did absolutely none of the requested pre-meeting work that was provided to me well in advance. Our meeting largely consisted - then - of going through the paperwork step-by-step. I would say that Molly did her best to provide a value by quickly preening down our misconceptions toward a workable solution.

Had I done my pre-work, I'm sure more time could have been spent on the actual kitchen design. Molly handled our appointment as professionally as I hope I would be; given our carelessness.

Molly never once mentioned - or even implied - that I had in any way disrupted the process. Again, I think she sought to provide value.

Ultimately, I think we will likely be leaning a different way for our needs. Not because we don't think we would get a sub-par outcome: our plans just expanded beyond the scope of our kitchen remodel. We think we may need the help of a more general craftsperson.

You can have something done two of three ways: fast, cheap, and right. Fast and cheap may work for a fast-and-cheap need. I would say that Molly probably under-charges for a consultation, but you get out what you put in.

I mean, what were you going to do, anyway; watch at least 45 minutes of animal rescue videos?

Can't say enough wonderful things about A Kitchen That Works. Molly is so thoughtful and worked hard to tailor my project to my needs and budget. Renovations can seem so daunting, and she has managed every aspect of it, down to the minutest detail.

Kitchen (almost) remodel was a huge success. Molly helped us buy all the correct appliances. We had already purchased a refrigerator that was not returnable. We donated the refrigerator to a non-profit but we had to buy another refrigerator with Molly's recommendations. This one fit perfectly. I wished we had called her first. Would have save over $2,000 right away.

Cooking has always been a central focus in our home, and the harmony was diminished by our outdated and poorly designed kitchen. Thanks to Molly and A Kitchen That Works LLC, our family of cooks has been inspired again to create meals that bring family and friends together for unforgettable dining experiences.

I might also add that Molly always goes above and beyond. We recently had a plumbing emergency due to our own oversight and could not make it back to the house to deal with the issue. Not only did Molly locate someone to handle the problem, but she met the service tech at our house and cleaned up the mess! NOW, THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
