I like working in an environment where people truly like their job and don't just care for their clients but also their employees. I'm new to being a care giver with this company and I have been treated with more patience and kindness than I've ever been given by my superiors and colleagues...Five Stars!!! This have been the best job I have ever had! I wake up every day happy to go to work! I love my clients and they seem to love and appreciate me. I feel as though I am a part of their families! And that means the world to me! For this reason I am rating Home Helpers of Poulsbo 5 stars!
Speaking as a former employee this company is wonderful. I got let go due to health reasons and they did as much as they could to work with me.
John and his wife are fabulous owners and will go out of their way in every way possible to provide for their clients. They immaculately train their staff and provided extra training should you need/want it. By far the best home care company I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
My only complaint is Kiana. Anytime she was met with an inconvenience due to my illness she would let it effect her professionalism. I understand the load it put on other staff members and hard to find covers for short notice. While I understand that I cannot help when/where my illness flares. It made calling out all the more stressful as well as put me off having any interaction with her or coming to to her questions and concerns. Highly recommend for a home care agency. Just not so much as a disability friendly employer.
I am a new employee of Home Helpers and just in the short amount of time I have been here I can already tell you that it is the best place of employment I have ever worked at. The owners are always there when you need someone. The office staff is very friendly and easy to get along with. Home Helpers has helped me expand my knowledge in healthcare and have set up multiple opportunities for training on multiple different topics. They have also allowed me to expand my career choices where now I am not just a caregiver but now I have a role as part of office staff. Everyone is very patient and willing to teach me new things and I will always be grateful for the opportunities they have given me! I highly recommend working for this company!!
