We found Rick and Candice's butsiness on Angie's List and were impressed by the great reviews they have received. Now that the job is finished, we'd like to add another rave. The firm deserves all the positive feedback. They were flexible in the scheduling phase to refinish our 28 year old oak floors. We were able to be gone during most of the six days the job took and we were completely satisfied with the outcome. In addition to the refinish in the in the main living area, Rick built a new white oak stairway to the second floor, and put another finish coat in an upstairs bedroom, which had received little use over the years and didn't need refinishing.

Everything turned out beautifully. and we appreciated seeing Rick's enthusiasm and pride in his work. He clearly enjoys what he is doiing, and we are glad we chose him for this project.

Rick removed our old vinyl floor and underlay and installed a new red oak hardwood floor, staining it and finishing it to match our existing 1946 and 1995 oak floors that adjoin it. He is truly a craftsman, the results are beautiful. He took a lot of care with the details like fitting the oak floor around the uneven contours of our river rock fireplace hearth. They also were very accommodating to our schedule needs and took care to mask off the area to minimize the impact on the rest of the house. Would definitely give a high recommendation for Sterling Smith Hardwoods.

I was tired of having old carpet and vinyl in my home and I finally decided it would be time to have hardwood flooring put down.I read the reviews on line with the help of my daughter and called the references I was given by the companies I had phoned to come to look at my floors. I went with Sterling Smith Hardwood floors and I am glad I did. The hardwood floors go very well with my house and Mr. Smith had many good ideas that helped me make up my mind. I would recommend Sterling Smith Hardwood floors if you want new hardwood floors. I liked the price and the people were very nice.
