Its a generally good school. Im a senior at the school this year. It has generally good and caring teachers. Okay amount of honors and AP classes. Good amount of clubs and extra activities. The staff really do want to help although they do focus on college they will help with voc tech and military stuff. The parking lot is very crouded and a small parking area for visitors. Nice little track and field. Many of my little brother's sports games have been held there.
This school offers a lot, and the teachers care about the students. However I have noticed that many of my peers aren't happy with BLHS. I do not know how to fix this, but I know that if everyone felt like they were a part of the environment it would be better. On e of my friends says that the school is "too liberal," and I think they have a point. The staff should focus on everyone being panthers more than just saying it. My peers should feel the sense of home instead of "ew high school pep." Don't get me wrong though not everyone hates BLHS, there are plenty of people that have a wonderful time at our school. I am a freshman, and went to states for the XC team, our Coach Andy Foster is a really amazing guy, and I look forward to the next three years with him. Our other sports are really good at what they do, but not all of them get the recognition that they deserve. I love this school because it seems like there is no other high school that could top it, and I can't wait to be an even bigger part of the greatest high on earth. Excellence of Mind, Strength of Character. GO PANTHERS!!!!!!
P.S. The reason that I praise BLHS so much is because I am from California, and the High school I was going to go to is way worse than this one.
