Tides Tavern

This is a historic place in gig harbor. I've seen shirts for this tavern all over the country. It's iconic. They have an amazing fish and chips with even better tartar sauce. The interior is decorated with a naval type theme and it hits the mark It's got a great view of the water and I don't know if they could do much better. This place has earned their stripes

Fun, safe and of course super yummy!
It's been a LONG time since we have gone out to a restaurant and "sat down'" and enjoyed our meal.
We being my 84 year old mom tagging along with me!!
Not only did we feel super safe as we watched the staff constantly clean every surface any patron would touch they confidentially wore their masks! We felt safe the entire time!
Our server Crystal was a treat for sure. Super attentive and had a great smile behind that 😷
Our meals were bigger than expected and will be enjoyed today!
If you've never been to Tides Tavern my suggestion is give it a try and your belly will be thanking you.
P.S. if it is still really chilly out take a throw blanket for your lap and your meal will be 100% perfect

I have been coming here since around 1990, after I turned 21 of course :).
The food and atmosphere are just fantastic and there is just no better way to end a fun day on the water in the Summer than to come park your boat at their dock for free and either order a pint or two with dinner to your boat, or go inside and enjoy this fine pub.
You'll love the beer, the fish and chips, and the folks who work here!
