From our very first meeting, I knew this team was going to advocate for me and keep my best interests at the forefront of the process. Over the past forty years or so I have bought and sold numerous homes and so I have had dealings with a lot of real estate agents. Ed Aro is, hands down, the best I have ever dealt with. The task my sister and I presented to Ed was to sell a multi-acre undeveloped parcel located in a city in Washington State (we had inherited it from our father and we were equal co-owners). What initially seemed to be a simple “sell to a developer” turned into a more complex (and challenging) process that ultimately ended in a sale to the city, for preservation as green space, in perpetuity. The property sale closed in 2022 but the process spread over three years because of the complex nature of the sale and the involvement of city and county bodies (and their own calendars). On a few occasions we had dealings with other members of Team Aro, but Ed was our true contact, go-to person. On our behalf, Ed negotiated with other landowners/developers, and ultimately, with the city, with an interested Native American tribe, and with a county-run conservation funding body. Throughout the process, Ed kept us timely informed of the status of various processes. He counseled us on possible approaches to dealing with the various parties. He used his long-established relationships with the various parties to make sure things were moving properly, letting us know if there was an unavoidable delay in the process. He was always conscious of our wishes and presented them with tact and discretion. He used all types of electronic means to keep us informed: email, phone (3-way as Ed was in Washington State, I was on the East Coast, and my sister was in the Midwest), and Zoom video conferencing. What was especially meaningful to us was the feeling that we had that Ed was on top of things. We never had to remind him of things we considered important. He was responsive all through the process. We were definitely in good hands with Ed and I recommend him, without reservation.
