So I dont rate often but i feel I had to share.
At first when u arrive u might assume u have the wrong place but you dont. This local owned shop has all the perks of ur friendly neighbor mechanic topped with above and beyond the knowlage a franchised chain shop has. But the best part is they care for u like family and take ur hardships as their own and commit 100% to making ur day and experience the best they can possibly offer. I came in with a entire nest of issues with a broke down car of mine. They gave me a run down of all the issues and i could tell they werent exagerating to make more money. (unlike a chain shop would) they listened to my struggles in finances and gave me a quote that was half if not a third of what i was previously quoted by a different shop. By the time they finished everything, it was done a day before my estimated time to pick up and everything ran and functioned so smoothly u wouldnt have guessed my car was broke down for 5 months. This shop is amazing and compassionate. Just because its not a pristine chain shop doesnt mean they arent the best. Ive never received such great service all around and fully recommend that u take a chance with these guys. In todays hard times its always best to support local shops and this one is by far worth it. Thank you guys i look forward to working with ur awesome mechanics again!
How many truck mechanics do you know that gives you 5 star work every time? This one does.
I had a situation that they solved with integrity. That says it all.
Cons:
I had to wait about 30 min. longer than my appointment to be serviced.
There was no receptionist or proper waiting room.
It could use more effective signage to avoid parking in some lady's space and getting yelled at.
Pros:
They finished earlier than they said it would take.
The staff was incredibly friendly.
They charged for 1.5 hours of labor when they had my car for 3 hours.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience (at least to the point one enjoys going to the auto repair place) and would recommend the location and will certainly return the next time my vehicle requires maintenance.
The above six points are extremely glossy (in the sense that they are glossing over the topics) and all arguable faults regarding my experience were completely understandable and forgivable.
Valley Ave Auto Repair, while the owner does have other locations, is not a chain place of business. It is not neat or clean, nor does it have that sterile corporate clone-stamp feel. It's not professional or polished, but it doesn't have to be.
Valley Ave Auto Repair feels like it's run by a bunch of friendly guys. They're nice and know their stuff and (while they may be slightly understaffed at times; they were quite busy [relatively] and my delayed in being attended to was understandable), but most importantly they get the job done, and at the end of the day that's all that matters.
The owner is very nice (and talkative!), with lots of ideas and things to share.
I recommend Valley Ave Auto Repair to anyone who needs it.
