I've been attending St. Mark's for almost a year now. A wonderful, compassionate and inclusive church community! I would wholeheartedly invite anyone to St. Marks!
our Masjid was destroyed due to arson, st. Mark's Church has opened their doors to us muslims to perform our Salat in their facility. Very hospitable congregation at Lutheran Church. May Allah reward them, ameen.
Fantastic church that will welcome the fullness of your faith and identity and help you discover where God is calling you to get involved with making the world a more loving place. Also, it’s a great sanctuary for a wedding!
When our children were young we attended regularly, but with age we tend to sleep in. The church members are always friendly, engaging and interested in meeting people. There are Bible studies and gatherings for all types of activities. One of my fondest memories was when the youth group caroled at our house. I quickly made them cocoa and already had my baking done, so they helped clean out the sugary temptations; a win-win. I chaperoned twice when our youth went to Canada for Wilderness Adventure. It was sooo much fun to be with them and ride horse back for a whole week. I loved it. The minister was well suited to the task of leading the youth and having fun.
St. Mark's is a very special place. Whether you're looking for a rich, meditative experience at 8:30, a high-energy worship at 9:45 or a very traditional service at 11:00, it's all wonderfully done with outstanding musicians and thoughtful preaching.
Plus outstanding faith formation programs for children, youth and adults. And lots of dinners and other events where you can get to know people and feel part of a faith community.
St. Mark's has a strong emphasis on service - stuffing weekly backpacks with food for 50 homeless elementary students, making quilts to be sent around the world and sponsoring worship at the women's prison are a few examples.
I love this congregation and I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't.
