Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park

Beautiful area for a walk. Lots of birds and seals. A great view of Rainier too.

Amazing place for walking, riding a bike (adults and kids), running and any outside activity you enjoy. All green areas are in excellent shape. There are 4 restrooms that are pretty decent. It is also a great area for little kids to practice riding their bike since there are no steep hills.

Wonderful place to take the family, couples walk, walk the dogs, ride your bike, or just individual sitting watching the seals/whales. This place has the longest set of slides I have ever seen. We did see seals, no whales maybe next time. You can just sit watching the boats or have a picnic lunch. Bathrooms were available & clean. No matter what the age you can enjoy. Wheel chair accessible.

It’s always nice to walk around here and just enjoy the fresh air. It’s getting a bit chilly outside now, but it’s still nice to get the crisp air coming off the water.

Nice family place with seal viewing. Well maintained bathroom. Lots of places to roam around, quite a lot of benches and sitting areas for picnic.
