You can feel that he genuinely cares about you, much unlike the run of the mill machine driven psychiatrists you will likely encounter with an HMO (EG Kaiser). If you are an intellectual that likes to do your own research and present your ideas and research to him, he will discuss it with you and discuss his experiences with such solutions - valuable insight from somebody who has been in the field for many many years. I have never in my life had such an open line of communication from a psychiatrist. I can only hope that two psychiatrists of Dr. Schilt's quality replace him in the field when he retires, and dread the day he does.”
