I’ve had 2 home births now with Bayside Birth & Midwifery and I can’t recommend them enough! Gabi and Sadie are wonderful humans and provide such well-rounded care. They are so professional, but still very friendly and caring, ending up feeling more like friends/family at the end of the care they provide.
It's hard to find the words to describe my experience with Gabi and Sadie. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, all I experienced was compassionate and transparent care. Through every step, I felt like I was respected, listened to, in control, and completely cared for. They are reassuring and kind, and never made me feel like I was overreacting when I was freaking out (which, by the way, I totally was, ha). They also treated my partner like he was important and listened to his questions/concerns as well, instead of just directing to me all the time, which I know meant a lot to him.
My birth was an absolutely amazing experience, and so much of that is because I had midwives who were 100% on board with my birth plan, and who let me birth without dictating every detail of how it would go. They made sure baby and I were safe and gave suggestions and encouragement when they needed to. I was able to choose what positions to labor/push in which was so great. They were such a calming presence and we felt so reassured by their warmth and competence.
Pregnancy, birth and postpartum is a wild journey. These are the midwives you want by your side for one of the most raw, life-changing, vulnerable, amazing experiences of your life. They have all the compassion in the world, and are also generally phenomenal and badass humans.
I LOVE Y'ALL AND I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU.
Love, Alexis, Steven and Baby Anna
I’ve used Bayside for two home births in the last three years, and there’s nobody better. Melissa’s professionalism paired with her calm and unflappable demeanor make her the consummate professional. There’s no issue too large or too small for her, and she’s well worth every penny!
We did a homebirth with Bayside for our second child. They did absolutely great. Their level of care and follow-up was everything we could have wanted. I follow biohacking and was feeding and supplementing my wife for maximum healthy development of our child, and they worked with me to make sure I wasn't making any mistakes or missing anything important.
During the birth, my wife's placenta didn't come out and she had to be taken to the ER for manual removal. Bayside was on it with their timing and decision making. Both the baby and my wife ce out great despite the setback. Highly recommended!
I truly cannot recommend Gabi and Sadie highly enough! I switched to their care very late in my pregnancy because of the Covid-19 situation, and they made the transition absolutely seamless. Although I only had a handful of prenatal appointments with them, I felt like I got to know them well and felt totally comfortable around them. They are eager to answer questions, friendly, and personable, and make you feel like you have choices and control over your birth. My home birth with them was an amazing, empowering experience -- I had not originally planned a home birth but now would not want it any other way. Their postnatal care for both me and my baby has been exceptional. I cannot imagine a better team!
