Staff is always friendly and helpful!
I had a quiet and peaceful experience. The Librarians we're pleasant and helpful. I have always loved the library.
I am so grateful for this library. I have had nothing but excellent service. The staff is extremely professional, courteous, and gracious to their members/guests. Thank you Granite Falls/Sno-Isle.
I have not been into this library for several years, or any, and needed to utilize some of the services offered today and found this location well staffed, helpful, polite and friendly. I also rediscovered what I like about a public library and it's usefulness in our society. Awesome job to the staff and resources they provide.
Seems like a wonderful facility. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a library card due to my lack of residency in Washington even though I am working a forest service job in the Snoqualmie National Forest for the summer. Librarian on the phone was very well versed in tax laws and informed me why I was not able to receive a card (he was very polite). Wish they would set up a temporary card system for those of us who work here in the area for the summer and love to read. On the bright side, I was told I may come in for a guest pass to use computers.

OAKLAND, Calif. — John Janosko recently moved into a tiny cabin in Oakland, after the city and the state shut down the sprawling homeless encampment where he had resided for most of the past eight years. City officials consider the shed-size unit — with a bed, a folding chair, a desk and a mini fridge — a vast improvement over the makeshift shelters that once sat beneath a freeway. That ...
Inside the warehouse in Reedley, California, where furniture, medical devices and other materials were improperly stored. A monthslong investigation into a rural California warehouse uncovered an illegal laboratory filled with infectious agents, medical waste and hundreds of mice bioengineered "to catch and carry the COVID-19 virus," according ...
The first American nuclear reactor to be built from scratch in decades is sending electricity reliably to the grid, but the cost of the Georgia power plant could discourage utilities from pursuing nuclear power as a path to a carbon-free future. Georgia Power Co. announced Monday that Unit 3 at Plant Vogtle, southeast of Augusta, has completed testing and is now in commercial operation, seven ...

When it comes to plastics, however, the common belief that items in the recycling bin will end up being repurposed down the line is rarely borne out. Only about 5% of the 51 million tons of plastic waste produced by American households in 2021 was recycled domestically, according to a new study conducted by the environmental nonprofit Greenpeace.
Asa Ellerup broke her silence Friday after husband Rex Heuermann was charged over a series of killings in New York. Heuermann was arrested earlier this month when a combination of DNA evidence, cell tower data and witness descriptions made him the prime suspect in at least three of the many Long Island killings known as the Gilgo Beach murders.
Colleen West. Detectives arrested a Granite Falls man earlier this month on suspicion of second-degree child rape and luring a minor. Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit detectives arrested the 58-year-old at his home on May 2. According to investigators, on Apr. 29, a 12-year-old was playing basketball with friends.
A recent study found that some lakes around the world contain as much, if not more, plastic than polluted ocean gyres, also known as "garbage patches".. Researchers tested samples from 38 lakes and reservoirs on every continent except Antarctica. "Some of these lakes you think of as clear, beautiful vacation spots, but we discovered such places to be perfect examples of the link between ...
May 18—One thing Barry Hayes loves about serving as the mayor of Granite Falls is the annual Christmas tree lighting, where he watches children's eyes light up as synthetic snow falls from the sky. This December will be his last Christmas tree lighting as the town's leader. Hayes announced he will retire after serving the town for 38 years, first as a town council member and as mayor since ...
