Marysville Cooperative Preschool

This school year has been a wonderful experience so far. There have been many reasons why we love this school.

My son, who didn’t have much social interaction before has really blossomed. He is more inquisitive about play time, empathetic towards friends and family and genuinely excited to go to school and be with his teacher and all the kids. It’s heartwarming knowing that he has something of his own that is special to him at such a young age.

I, as a parent, have also developed genuine relationships with other parents that also feel connected to their children’s education and want to be a part of a community that is safe and fun for all.

With this being a Co-Op it is has been really great for our family because we have had the chance to be involved in the classroom, and with the daily business and activities that the school provides. It has been encouraging knowing that we as parents have a say in the environment that our children to get to be in.

I will recommend this preschool to families long after mine have moved on to primary elementary school.

My sister and cousin came to this school 20 years ago and I heard nothing but good from my mom so we enrolled our child this year and she has grown so much! It has taught her routine, patience, independence, and more. She has thrived in this school more than any other activities I have put her in. Not only has she built some friendships but I have built some amazing relationships with the other parents as well! Community is big. I love the co op model and being so involved with my child’s school and learning. I would highly recommend this co op to any parent!

This preschool is great! We’re headed into year 4 and could not ask for a better start for our kiddos. The teachers are aweosme the program through Edmonds community college is supportive and helpful. We love the amount of time each child receives in the class room. The dues are affordable and resonance. There’s no pressure for academics or meeting any kind of standard. The coop mentality and values are truly empowering. The group of parents are the school are positive and upbeat. As a parent I live the coop because I get to be actively involved in my child’s learning. We 100% recommend this place!

My family has currently been enrolled at MCP for 2 years. He absolutely loves it. I love being able to participate in my son's education, these are precious moments I cherish, and will never get back. I highly recommend this co-op preschool.

My son participated at Marysville Cooperative Preschool from age 3 to age 5, where he enjoyed the learn-through-play philosophy.

At the same time, I learned the latest research-based parenting skills that are based on respecting the developmental needs of the child. Those same tools that I used on my preschooler, I use on my teenager, but with more complex language.

At age 14, Zachary is an expert at solving conflict between friends, asking for what he needs, being responsible for the impact he has on others, and creatively solving problems until the solution has been found.

He has enjoyed academic success because he started with a foundation that empowers self-confidence and self-expression.

Not only is Marysville Cooperative Preschool good for the preschooler, right now with things parents are dealing with, but also in the long-term, big picture of life.

We have enjoyed a relationship that counters the way normal preteen and teenage and parental relationships go--instead of persistent conflict and power struggles--we cooperate, collaborate, and have so much fun with each other!

I credit Marysville Copperative Preschool with giving our family the education and understanding of child development, and empowering me to work with Zachary effectively, so that I can empower him to become the best young man and citizen of the world he an be!
