Great location, lots of shops and schools nearby. Maintenance always responds in a timely and friendly manner. Office people are always extremely friendly and happy to help with any issues or concerns you may have. Have a reliable package service. this is a Calm and peaceful neighborhood with little to zero noise disturbances.
The office and Maintenance staff together made our stay at Taluswood very welcoming. If you are a dog owner, there are a lot of green belts around which is very convenient. Lots of amenities. Taluswood is unlike any other apartment complex I've stayed at. The office manager worked with me on my final account statement when I decided to move. No bitter feelings about being overcharged. I recommend living here if you work in the area, and have pets.
While I've only lived here two months, I've yet to experience anything less than stellar.
1. I ordered a package with an ETA the day after my move-in and it arrived early! Of course, the rare time that happens, I don't live here yet. Thankfully, management was coming by for a final look through & put my package inside the apartment for me!
2. The dryer happened to be broken when I moved in. I submitted the maintenance request that day, and it was fixed well within 48 hours. The maintenance staffer was very pleasant company (I work from home) and my dog loved him!
3. There are many dog poop stations around the complex, with poop bags provided. Oftentimes, while walking my dog I see maintenance walking the property to look for used poop bags people have tossed to the side. This attention to detail is unexpected and considerate!
4. The gym is open for reservation now!! The reservation system through ActiveBuilding is easy to use, and I'm just ecstatic one of the amenities here is usable. They sanitize this daily; frequently staff comes through while I'm using it (there seems to be a maintenance closet and restroom they use here) and they are always wearing a mask, and are very kind! I've worked retail for YEARS before getting the office job I have now, and I'm honestly shook that it appears every staffer here never is in a bad mood.
This is a great apartment. First of all, do not be fooled by the moderate average rating, all apartments are rated poorly on Google. My girlfriend and I moved here from across the country. They were the first apartment willing to accept our application several months in advance. They gave us extensive concessions in the initial lease, and were always available when we needed to contact them. A month before moving in, we found out there were issues renovating our chosen unit, so they transferred us to a more expensive unit, while maintaining our agreed upon monthly payment, and offering us more in concessions. Their grounds are well kept, our neighbors have been friendly, the maintenance has been responsive and reliable. This has singly been the best lease I've ever signed.
One of my favorite things about this apartment is that the staff are all really awesome. In the past I've worked with Lance in maintenance and he's always been great to work with. I most recently needed something fixed and worked with Tyler. Tyler is super awesome with communication. He's been really flexible with working around my schedule and calls me before he heads over. I really appreciate his communication and work ethic. He's done an amazing job making me feel comfortable and also addressing any issues. Thanks again Tyler!
