Slapbox Parmer

My first visit and it was great. I'll definitely be back to try more of menu. I appreciate custom single sluce/serve pizza. My co-workers told me one slice would be enough but I doubted them so I ordered cheese sticks for the table. Definitely did not need those but they're good, too.

So when Slapbox pizza first opened on Parmer, we questioned whether we REALLY needed another pizza place around here. But when we tried it we were so surprised! Great pizza (and other food), and they have a full bar with lots of options. The "Maker" pizza is great for date night - you basically tell them what you don't want, and let them surprise you. I highly recommend the hummus & pita app! And they will "kid's cut" a slice of pizza (yes, you can order a whole pizza or by the slice for some) so that it's easier for the littles to pull apart and eat. Just be prepared that all ordering is done through your phone. But definitely a must try!!

It's nice to see the folks from 600 degrees here in north Austin! The baker's special is a new experience each time and has never let us down. My only feedback would be that it's really cool when the server who delivers the pizza gives you a tour of what's on it, that doesn't happen often enough.

Bonus points for their great beer selection and outside space!

It's nice to find a pizza by the slice place that will customize it the way you want and they do that. Pizza was cooked perfectly and the pictures probably won't convey it but the slices are absolutely gigantic.

The crust was done well nice and crispy perfect amount of cheese and the perfect amount of toppings. The only issue for me and it's more personal preference is that the sauce was a lot sweeter than I prefer. If I'm not mistaken it's more of an East Coast thing to have a sweet sauce

Good food and good service. Not only is the pizza good but so is the rest of the menu. If you like wings, theirs are crispy and tasty with different sauce/rub options. The rotating selection of beer on tap keeps if fresh every visit. The handmade meatballs are worth trying. I visit this place regularly for the food and atmosphere.

Our family was recommended on using Baur when my father passed and I’m glad we took that recommendation. From the start of this process Saskia was there for myself and my family. She was so considerate, kind, upfront, honest and so helpful. She was quick to answer any questions and seemed personally vested in the needs of my family. She truly cares. Thank you for your kindness and understanding In our time of difficulty.

Bauer was so amazing with our Family during the most difficult time of losing our loved one. They were so gentle & patient with us and helped us through each step of the way! My father-in-law died unexpectedly the day after Christmas with the family in town from as far away as Germany. I needed a funeral that was respectful to celebrate his life. It needed to be planned in less than three days. Rose made it happen with kindness and compassion. By the third day she had us set up in their quaint chapel with an excellent Celebrant, Amy Scobee, an Honor Guard with flag from the local Air Force Base and a rifle company from the local veterans organization for a 21 gun salute. Amazing. It turned what was going to be a small, sad funeral of five family members into an event worthy of his life. Highly recommend !

The warmth, kindness and support we received from the staff (in particular Rose and Sam) helped us so much during this sad time. Rose took care of all my concerns and I didn't have any stress planning for the service. My father passed away the day after Christmas. It was as if he was waiting to see his grandsons one last time before he passed as they were in town for the holiday. Rose was able to put together a beautiful memorial ceremony, with military honors, for my father on extremely short notice as my sons were heading back out of town and overseas in a couple days and we were hoping to have a ceremony before they left town. The ceremony was beautiful, exceeding all expectations, and I will be forever thankful to Rose and the Bauer Funeral Chapel for making it all happen so efficiently and smoothly!

I recently suffered the untimely and tragic loss of a coworker. Having never had to experience this I was unfamiliar with all the details involved in the process as I helped guide the family through it. Rose and her staff were absolutely amazing in getting us squared away and making sure every last detail was covered. She was compassionate and thorough and an absolute pleasure to do business with. Thank you Rose for making an absolute tragedy just a bit easier to manage.
