I can't imagine a better place to entrust my two little ones for preschool. We were in search of a Waldorf based option and I'm so glad we stumbled across FTFS!!!! Alison is so incredibly thoughtful with the kids, in every aspect of their day and their experience while at school. Eliza is that rare gentle leader type that adds an element of comfort and stability to an already awesome program.
Our daughter (almost 5) has a sensory processing disorder and preschool last year was extremely challenging and miserable for all (at a different school). Alison has been so amazing at helping foster her growth, and she is so knowledgeable and competent around child development, and special needs, it's a massive relief knowing our daughter is fully taken care of, loving school, interacting with others, and gaining confidence daily!!!!
We are going to delay kindergarten for our older, and our kids will both be back next year. They love it, and they have both bloomed and grown so much. It's so fulfilling to see as a parent. Couldn't recommend FTFS more highly!
An important aspect of the school OUR family loves for our children, is the one on one time spent with each child. Not only does this time make our kids feel more comfortable, but the dynamic coaching that occurs between teacher-child, really does make such a difference for them, socially and educationally. In addition, we spend many an evening singing to the songs of each day at our dinner table, which are always incredible. Thank you FTFS team, for your commitment each and every day.
I truly can't imagine a more wonderful preschool environment for my 3-year-old daughter. FTFS is a nurturing, safe environment where my daughter is able to explore and grow socially and emotionally. Teachers Alison and Eliza are kind, caring and supportive of each child's individual personality. In the midst of a pandemic it is so wonderful to have a place where my daughter can just be a kid having fun with others kids (with precautions taken to make it as safe as possible).
This school is amazing. So much thought and planning goes into the all outdoors day. Perfect for my very energetic son. Lessons built into play is genius. This is my sons first school experience and he loves it. At first he was shy and would cry when I left but Teachers Allison and Eliza are so sweet with him.
We love this school. My daughter attended the 2019 fall and 2020 spring until the pandemic. We are excited to return in the fall of 2021. We’ve missed Auntie Alison and the school so much. It was a great first school experience for my then fresh 3 year old. She learned so many skills that created a wonderfully independent 4 year old for us during this pandemic and having a newborn as of august.
