We chose this preschool for our son for a few different reasons. The involvement of parents was key. My husband and I wanted to be fully aware of what the daily curriculum was going to be and to be able to spend time in the classroom. I think Cooperative preschools are great and they are especially wondeful for parents who either are anxious about sending their kids out in the world or they want to keep a closer eye on them. At this age they mostly learn through play and that is what is encouraged in the classroom. They also learn to clean up after themselves, how to be a good friend to their peers, and beginning stages of conflict resolution. They have outdoor time everyday and have opportunities to explore. We have watched our son grow, develop, and mature during his first year of preschool and have confidence that when it is time to move on to Kindergarten that he will be ready.
All of my kids attended this Co-Op. The program is amazing and I love the people involved. Highly recommend.
Our daughter is in the younger Lake Stevens Co-Op preschool class, on Thursdays and Fridays, and LOVES it! Teacher Adrienne is wonderful with all the children, energetic and engaging, and I love that she was previously a Mom at this same school with her own daughter. My daughter has really blossomed just in the 2 months we have attended this school year, and is learning wonderful social skills while making new friends. There is a definite sense of community, which really means a lot to me and my husband.
My daughter loves this school and begs to go every day. We are currently in the Early Preschool Class with the awesome Miss Adrienne. I love the sense of community and being involved with my child's education. I also love the free parent/teacher education that comes with participating in their program. I am identifying types of personalities and teaching skills, patience, redirection, and more. These skills are making me a better parent and will stay with me as my children progress in their education (I am actually applying these on my 7 year old who hates school and home work and I believe I am finally getting through to him!). I definitely recommend this school and their program!
