Pretty park with tree covered picnic areas. Trout, perch and catfish can be caught here. There are houses on the lake but not as much as Flowing Lake. An Eagle flew across the lake and caught a fish today.
Great park for all. With lake access for swimming and fishing. Plenty of areas that provide shade. They have both covered and uncovered gathering areas. Grills are on location with plenty of seating for a large BBQ. You may need to make a reservation and it may cost money.
Short drive to get to a grocery store incase you forgot something.
Bathrooms are also available. Large playground within view of many benches. Very quiet in the morning hours. On a sunny day it starts getting busy around noon.
Lots of parking with an area that is wheelchair friendly. Also, there is a ramp that connects to one of the docks.
This is our 3rd time at this park and we will definitely return in the future.
Nice play structure for kids with swings. Multiple fishing docks. Many picnic tables, several under two different shelters. Wasn't too busy for a beautiful sunny summer day. Will definitely return.
Nice park. We went in the morning and it was nice and quiet. Cold in the morning because the sun is behind the trees. Areas to get down to the water but park itself is semi fenced to help keep little kids in and away from the water. 3 slides. Climbing wall and swings. Park has a bathroom close by and picnic benches along with a covered shelter with benches. Slides are higher and not fully enclosed so better for older kids not toddlers.
Decent little park on Blackman Lake. I wouldn't call it spectacular by any means, but there's some nice scenery and features here. There's a couple of docks, restrooms, play equipment for the kids, picnic tables, and a couple of picnic shelters, as well as some trails that go through the wooded area. One of the picnic shelters is much smaller than the other with only one long table, while the bigger shelter has several and is next to the restrooms and play equipment. The bigger shelter also has a sink, although it's not to be used to clean fish. Both have grilling stands. The park was clean, although watch out for goose poop.
