This was a great little trail! My boys loved the big hills they have there. They loved running up them and meeting me on the other side. We went and did one of those pop story walks. I could definitely see myself going back there!
This park is a great little gem in the area. If you run/walk, you can get a 4 mile loop with just one double-back.
The surface is light gravel in most places, packed dirt in others, so even on wet days, you will not get too muddy.
A variety of terrain exists if you want to run/walk hill loops or remain flat.
It feels safe given that the main loop is open, free of trees and located near the business.
We see lots of dog walkers.
There is an indoor restroom nearby whose hours might be tied to the business hours and I've seen/used a porta-potty option too.
Attended a field trip with my sons class and the staff are angels! Their patience was phenomenal.
This is my favorite sewage treatment plant/park in the area. We go here for calm strolls when we want to get around some trees, but don't feel like a proper hike. It's nice in the winter because there's gravel so we don't need to get muddy. A nice low effort outing that still gets you some trees. You can pretend the noise from highway 9 is wind in the forest.
What a gem of a park! Because its by the treatment plant we never really thought of the place as a worthwhile park to visit. We eventually did (as we are running out of new parks to drive to) and was pleasantly surprised.
Parking is limited, there are no restrooms onsite (except at the Center if open) but the trails are flat and kid/stroller friendly, there are multiple ponds to explore on a short loop that young kids will be happy to walk through.
We saw frogs, crawdads, water skimmers, dragonflies in the ponds. Highly recommend!
