“An overall grand experience. The staff cared so deeply that I had even seen some moved to tears over endearing moments. The outings were great. The classes were useful. There is even a mindful arts class that allows us all to explore our creative outlets (provided by my counselor). VERY much appreciated. There were team building exercises aplenty and lots of laughter. Us clients learned so much about each other, and through trial and error, learned how to acknowledge, and respect one another's boundaries. Daily reflections and gratitudes were available, optional, and encouraged. I enjoyed those so much too, because those were client led, optional meetings where we could show true commitment and sincerity to our recovery and continued sobriety. I made friends there, both fellow clients AND staff. And I could go on and on about the good, the great, and the many perks from working with NSBHTC. I was of the few that had no obligation to be there, I searched NSBHTC out for their co-occurring program, and enlisted their services. I am NOT disappointed in my choice. It's a shame that I should spend more time detailing the one bad thing I have to say, than ALL of the many good things there are to say...but this is important to me, and it effects me negatively. It happened AFTER I had completed the program. I reached out to my social worker and had to leave a message. I detailed how wonderfully I had done and boasted of having such a great time in strengthening my recovery skills with NSBHTC. Well, she called me back promptly, shocked that my experience was a good one. You see, she had apparently had correspondence with my counselor at treatment. And what my counselor had to say about me was not so flattering. My social worker was actually put off by how my counselor had conducted herself, having things to say about me that did not in any way speak to my overall performance in the program and it's curriculum. My counselor seemed more focused on in-house disputes that had cropped up during my stay there. And in none of these situations did she paint me in a good light. I was more put off than my social worker. Aware of these circumstances as I was, I was led to believe at the time of said situations, that my counselor and I had understood one another when we sat down to talk. And the forgone conclusion was that I was not a problematic client. I hear a different story from my social worker, who was concerned with the unprofessionalism exposed by such critiquing. In her experience, the subject matter my counselor deemed noteworthy, was not. What my social worker needed, and wanted to know, was did I successfully complete the program, and how well did I perform? If my counselor would have stuck to those parameters, she would have had this to say: He excelled in class and always contributed. And he completed all the homework given to him. However, none of that bore mentioning apparently. So I was given a poor review that will be seen by all those whom may be concerned...a review that very well might be used as ammunition, even though this was my idea, and not required. Due to what seems to be a personality conflict, and an abuse of powers. This is a non-profit that I BELIEVE in, and want nothing but success for. I actually hope to be a part of its staff someday. However I would be remiss to not be sincere in my experience with the program. I give it five stars nonetheless. What shocked my social worker was that I had actually had a good time. She did not gather that from correspondence with my counselor. But I DID have a WONDERFUL time...yes that was partly because my counselor lied to my face and had me believe that my voice was heard, and my opinion valued, allowing for me to walk out of our meetings feeling seen and appreciated. But that aside, the program was great and my needs were attended to. And THAT is what truly matters in my opinion. A healthy environment for one battling with co-occurring issues to learn how to walk again. THANK you NSBHTC, you have given me more clean time, and the tools to change what needs fixing.”

“I’ve been going to Clearview since 2017. I usually see Dr.B, but have seen most all of the chiropractors there. Everyone is well versed in their discipline, and they communicate with one another before seeing a new patient. They also have a phenomenal massage staff. I went in there with lower back, and neck pain. Limited mobility in my neck. Within a couple months I was 100%, combined with exercises and stretching. I have been to many chiropractors in the past, to no avail.”

“I really like Celia's holistic approach to massage. Her ability to analyze and work intellectually, intuitively, and tactically to find the origin rather than the symptom is uncanny. She is cheerful, affordable, and her work space is lovely. Her massage is healing a long time issue. Highly recommend her!”
