(October 19, 2019, 8:19 pm)Back in 1967 I pumped gas, mowed grass and kept the flare-pot runway markers topped off with kerosene. Worked with Jim Shannon the Aircraft Mechanic. What a character.
Earl Herron helped me get my Commercial Pilot Certificate flying his Piper Tri-Pacer. Went on to fly for a living and retired in 2012. Paid a short visit to 7G1 a few years back and felt like some ghost from the past. Great memories.
