St Mary's of the Immaculate Conception - Catholic Church

Thank you for putting on a Thanksgiving dinner! First sit down Thanksgiving meal I've had in years. Everyone was super nice and made me feel glad to be there and the food was delicious!

Some friends and I had gone up to the Dells for a senior roadtrip and two of us, being Catholic had decided to go to Portage for mass on Sunday. I can say without a doubt that the parishioners of St. Mary's are some of the nicest individuals I've met outside of my little town. They welcomed he and I in and were nothing but kind. Father Gary was a big-hearted, courteous, and generous man who gave us a shout out and made sure to greet us both before and after church. It was an amazing experience and I'm so glad to have had it. Thank you Portage, God bless :)

My home parish might be disappointed when I say this but...this is the best church in Wisconsin. Fr Gary is awesome in every way and the people of portage are lucky to have him.

A wonderful parish to belong to. My wife and I were married here. Father Gary is the best priest anyone could ask for. Excellent pastoral care for our wedding, our daughter's baptism, and for the parish in general. Seems like the school is doing positive things in Portage, too.

Father Gary reaches everyone he speaks to. You will leave feeling happy and motivated to go out and live the gospil. The music is uplifting and the church community is welcoming. He leaves you excited and wanting to learn more.
