Gibraltar Rock County Park

Vigorous hike but the views make it worthwhile.

The Rock is an amazing place and worth the short hike. Given the great views from the top, the hike up is not that bad. When you return a second time, be sure to do the hike from the other trailhead, or make it a loop which will require some walking along Cty V to return to your vehicle. Between the two routes to the top, there's an old paved roadway and that makes a third route, less visited than the two trails. You may get some close views of turkey vultures or hawks at the viewpoints.

Beautiful nice hiking. Once you get to the top it is peaceful and beautiful. My only complaint is there should be better maps and trail markers

Our second time there, this time in early spring and we were not disappointed. A nice gradual climb to the top on well developed trail. The veiw is breathtaking, and we were greeted with the chatter of eagles and Sand Hill cranes. It's a must stop

The view is definitely worth the a little over a half mile walk up a steep hill to see! Absolutely breathtaking! Not going to lie though- the hike is steep!
