Goose Lake Drumlins State Natural Area

Great wildlife area to get away from the crowds at state parks. The trails are not moved very often, so don't expect well groomed trails. The wildlife area consists of prairie hills surrounded by tamarack swamps and cattail marshes.

Have used this stop dozens of times and its always kept clean both inside and out. The landscaping isn't anything special, but it is always mowed and kept looking its best. There are several newer vending machines, that are kept fully stocked no matter the time of day, or the day of week, there's always a wide selection to choose from. Most importantly the vending machines WORK. I've used them on roughly 2 dozen occasions and have yet to experience any kind of mechanical issues. Ive never lost my money Nor has my money ever been rejected. The facilities inside have ALWAYS been clean, I'll go so far as to say they're kept cleaner than some people's bathrooms at home that I have seen. The men's facilities aren't large by any means, only 4 stalls and 4 urinals, however I've never had to wait to use them so they seem to be an appropriate size for the geographical area and given traffic levels. Overall this is 1 rest area I have absolutely no concerns using myself, or even stopping to let my wife and daughter use. I am very pleased and satisfied with the level or cleanliness and the clearly evident amount of effort that is put into keeping this rest area in such good condition!!!!

My favorite place for walks and sight seeing. You never know what you might see on the trails! Keep your camera rollin as you wedge through the hedges! When you around take a stroll to goose lake for a great family adventure!

Its a great place to walk and bring your pet. Quite a variety of nature and land masses here. In the far background of my photos you can see the Glacial Drumlins (mounds, hills). And if you hunt, it has a lot of wide open land to positively identify your prey.
