First time here, loved that there was two different water areas for the pups. Super cute and bigger than I expected.
Nice small but sprawling park. Trails kind of go in every direction, but there is one nice loop straight from the parking lot toward the water! Fairly short path is great for sunsets or strolls with the dog (dog park on site as well). Some fishing to be done in the area and some a decent variety of fungi while walking the trail as well!
Nice little park for a quick stroll. Not sure if good for fishing or not because the tons of pelicans there most likely gobbled up all the fish.
A unique and expansive park! There’s a huge amount of linear shoreline/waterfront in this park which is perfect for fishermen. The dog exercise area is absolutely massive - I’m not sure if it’s possible to leave this place without a worn out dog.
There’s a good amount of walking/biking/jogging trails through the prairie and woodland as well. Parking can be tight on weekends.
This is a nice dog park. If your dog likes water, there is a river on one side and some little beach areas. My dog didn't use the beach, instead she ran through the brush and bramble and entered the water to try and catch frogs. The people at the park were friendly. I don't know what the crowd is like at other times of day. At my local dog park, I am used to seeing some familiar faces (dogs and people). In general everyone was laid back and understanding of my young energetic dog's behavior. (She still has some puppy energy and likes to wrestle and chase, and an be a little mouthy). Will return. Bring a towel.
