" NO DOGS" This is a beautiful bird sanctuary & Conservation Park that is clearly marked "NO DOGS" . Pets on a leash are welcome around part of Strickers Pond but NOT in the Wooded Conservation Park which is clearly marked. Habitat is affected by dogs since wildlife perceive dogs as predictors, even those dogs on a leash. This reduces natures way for wildlife to survive and raise their young while limiting wildlife viewing experiences for everyone. Dog scent repels wildlife with lingering impacts. There are many areas in Dane County where dogs are welcome but Conservation parks such as Strickers Pond & the Arbetum are some of the few remaining areas for Audubon members to enjoy nesting habitats for migrating & nesting birds such as Cranes. Try Tiedeman Pond which has a walking path all the way around it & has no restrictions for leashed pets yet is minutes from Strickers Pond on Voss Parkway.
Great place for gold fish! And for exercise!
Great family and pet friendly walking paths and park
